XipLink Inc., the technology leader in Wireless Link Optimization, is pleased to announce that NOVELSAT, a global leader in content connectivity, has deployed XipOS for their customer Tusass, Greenland’s leading communications provider, to meet their requirement to support a critical telco-grade backhaul service. XipLink’s XipOS enables a highly scalable multi-gigabit Layer 2 over Layer-3 backhaul service for Tusass, complemented by advanced Tunneless Load Balancing (TLB), a redundant complex multi-VLAN Layer 2 service, with MPLS acceleration and intelligent aggregation of several Dynamic SCPC modems.

“We are very pleased to work with our trusted partner of more than a decade, to successfully implement this complex network. The remote nature of the customer locations requires the delivery of significant capacity with our highly scalable multi-gigabit Tunneless Load Balancing, but also service resiliency enabled by XipLink’s Traffic Steering, to ensure maximum throughput and uptime." said Bruce Bednarski, XipLink’s Senior Vice President Business Development. “The highly scalable XipOS virtual technology is used to optimize and transport critical cellular backhaul 2G-3G-4G traffic and Layer-2 services including MPLS, ISIS, Q-in-Q and LDP traffic”.

“NOVELSAT partnered with XipLink to support a highly complex network requiring Layer-2 over Layer-3, with a multi-link load balancing requirement from Tusass to support mission critical backhaul links”, said Aviv Ronai, Chief Product and Marketing Officer at NOVELSAT. “XipLink’s Tunneless Load Balancing capabilities combine several Dynamic SCPC modem links into one single pipe, along with integrated SCPS TCP acceleration of MPLS traffic, increasing end customer “goodput” while providing higher uptime levels. We appreciate XipLink support in implementing a very complex network that benefits from the best of Dynamic SCPC and networking technologies.”

XipOS delivers an improved end user Quality of Experience while addressing several challenges in the satellite, cellular and wireless markets including offloading modems from high session counts, aiding performance for high latency connections with GEO satellites, providing consistent cellular data services and utilizing available bandwidth at the highest possible capacity. XipOS software also offers hybrid aggregation of GEO and NGSO connections to provide future-proofed enhanced services including security and increased bandwidth scaling.
