The Satcoms Innovation Group launches Innovation Hub
The Satcoms Innovation Group (SIG) has launched an Innovation Hub. Launched to identify and promote the newest and most innovative technologies within satcom, the hub will provide members with an opportunity to share solutions for some of the biggest challenges within satcom.
SIG promotes cooperation among industry stakeholders to propel innovation and maximise the potential of satcom. It provides a forum for discussion between industry operators and professionals, as well as examining challenges and opportunities.
The Innovation Hub will raise awareness of the latest technologies, therefore promoting coordination and advancement of technologies within the satcom industry.
SIG members can expect the following support from SIG within their first 12 months of membership:
1 press release written and issued by SIG (startup members only)
A dedicated social campaign on the SIG channels
Interview with a spokesperson for the SIG blog and newsletter
Opportunity to deliver a lightning presentation (max 5 minutes) at a SIG-run event
Inclusion in newsletter with product image and write-up
Participation in the newly launched SIG Podcast
Helen Weedon, Managing Director of the Satcoms Innovation Group, commented: “In a time where satcom is in the midst of an overhaul, innovation is at the core of its development. We are facing larger opportunities and challenges than the industry has seen before, and our members are playing an important role in creating solutions to drive operations forward. This hub will drive visibility for solutions addressing key operational issues, as well as call for action when fresh challenges arise. We look forward to continue fostering innovation and promoting collaboration within the industry.”
SIG consists of approximately 40 members, with Eutelsat, Intelsat, and Kratos Defence & Space holding Director Member roles.
