SpacePath Continues Expansion in North America with Appointment of VP for Sales and Marketing
SpacePath Communications (‘SpacePath’), a provider of high-performance satellite uplink amplifiers and associated equipment for the global SATCOM market, is pleased to announce the appointment of Eric Schmidt as vice president for sales and marketing, North America.
With his in-depth experience of SATCOM markets, Eric brings a wealth of industry expertise to SpacePath. Previous responsibilities span marketing, sales and business development at both established and start-up companies, including 13 years in sales at Comtech and 12 years in engineering and marketing at CPI. Eric holds a BS in engineering from Cornell University and a MS from Massechusetts Institute of Technology.
At SpacePath, Eric will focus on the company’s continued expansion into the commercial and defence markets across North America. His appointment completes a major investment milestone into the region following a collaboration agreement with Applied Systems Engineering Inc., a pre- and post-sales service and engineering company, based in Texas.
Colin Bolton, director of business development, SpacePath Communications, said: “As we continue to scale our business across North America, our ongoing investment in the region will ensure that existing and prospective customers will continue to benefit from best-in-class pre-sales advice, service, maintenance and technical support. In addition, Eric’s extensive commercial and technical experience will be invaluable for continuing our growth across all SATCOM markets, and demonstrating SpacePath’s proven credentials as a provider of choice among system vendors.”
SpacePath’s high performance uplink amplifiers cover all mission-critical segments, including mobile satellite, fixed-earth stations and military satellite communications.
