HawkEye 360 Announces Successful Launch and First Contact with Cluster 11

HawkEye 360, the world’s leading provider of space-based radio frequency (RF) data and analytics, is excited to announce that it has successfully contacted Cluster 11 following the launch. Launched December 20, 2024, via launch integrator Exolaunch, as part of the Bandwagon-2 rideshare mission with SpaceX from Vandenberg Space Force Base, CA, this satellite cluster will continue to advance HawkEye 360’s RF monitoring capabilities and ensure consistent coverage as the pioneering Pathfinder cluster is retired.

Cluster 11 will be positioned in a sun-synchronous orbit, enhancing HawkEye 360’s ability to collect globally. As a continuation of the technology implemented in Clusters 9 and 10, Cluster 11 will reinforce our constellation’s proven track record, delivering expanded coverage and reliable data collection. This new addition will help HawkEye 360 meet the growing global demand for RF monitoring and support critical insights for defense, government, and commercial sectors.

“Cluster 11 represents our commitment to enduring technology and operational excellence,” said John Serafini, CEO of HawkEye 360. “With this latest cluster, we continue to grow our constellation’s capacity and capability, ensuring our customers receive the timely, multi-dimensional geospatial insights they need for informed decision-making.”

Cluster 11 features upgraded payloads that increase data collection capacity, expand bandwidth, and allow multi-band signal capture. High-speed downlink transmitters further improve data delivery rates, quadrupling the speed at which insights are brought back to Earth to support swift, actionable decisions.

As the first cluster vibe-tested at HawkEye 360’s Herndon facility, Cluster 11 also marks a notable milestone in the company’s technological growth. This addition underscores HawkEye 360’s dedication to providing best-in-class RF data and analytics that meet customers’ needs worldwide.
